The Illusion

People are blind! It has come to my attention, not so much just recently, but recently enough that I feel that it requires blogging about. What I'm referring to is the fact that people refuse to see the obvious, whatever it may be. This concept is by no means foreign to me at all especially over the course of the last year.

What makes me think that this is a note worthy issue is the correlation that I've made with a Child Development class that I'm taking and the general populous. We studied a concept called Appearance-Reality Distinction, in which children in the early stages of child development, between the ages of 2-7, lack the ability to disassociate any given concept from a given object. For example, to a 5 year old, if you tell them that you are a bear they will believe you because they cant comprehend the fact that just because you called yourself a bear doesn't make you an actual bear. Hence the reason why children will run from you when you say your a tiger and then chase them around the room.

As we age into our adult lives we obviously learn to tell the difference between a bear and human being. However, in our very mundane lives, I argue that the masses suffer from this inability to disassociate the concept from the object. You may wonder how? Well to understand this may require some thinking outside of the box.

Think of a chair. Think about how throughout our entire lives a chair has simply been... A chair. Now ask yourself this seemingly ridiculous question. How do you know its a chair? Well you may say " I just do" or " because it looks like a chair". What people fail to realize is that the word "chair" is merely a symbolic representation that was assigned to the object. Simply put, a name.
This is important if you look at what damage that can do to a person. Some people, no matter how much evidence and proof you present to them, they cant see anything but the concept. The biggest example is religion. Even if you give them the most evidence proving religion wrong or some of its claims they will never see otherwise.

Just give that a thought.

What is learned can't be "unlearned"

Many people go through their lives sharing information with one another, telling each other the latest news, gossips and secrets. Most would even say that they can be trusted to learn such secrets like a the identity of a crush or password to someones diary. But what if there was a secret that you thought you can handle but in fact was not quite what you thought it would be.

Consider the hypothetical scenario of a friend coming up to you and saying that they had something important that they had to tell you. That this information is the key to figuring out the purpose of life. They ask you if they can trust you with this information to keep it to yourself. Your first reaction is probably to say "Yea" without much thought because to you a secret is something that you can keep and this is something that you really want to know.

I say that to say this.. "Do you really want to know?"

Can you handle certain information? Most people think they want to know the "ANSWERS" to life's questions but I'm willing to bet the contrary. The average person is very content with going throughout they're day to day lives in ignorance. Why? Because the saying is true.. "Ignorance is bliss"

To know makes one responsible, and people hate responsibility. The less one knows the less they have to worry about.

Its like the movie The Matrix however, many people would much rather take the blue pill. I on the other hand would love to find out how deep the rabbit hole actually goes.

I'll end with this question.

"If there was a book with all the information about the day, time and way of which you will die, would you read it?"

The Chase

As the title of this blog suggests. Lets cut to it!  The sole purpose of me starting this blog spot is to somehow talk, inform and hone my skills pertaining to Astrology and possible share them with others.  Hopefully this will allow me the medium to talk about what most would call a useless science.  I always beg to differ.  Its hard to convince other people about something they don't believe in.  Thus I will let it be known from now that that is not my intent.  I simply want to appeal to those that Astrology already appeals to.  So let this serve as my disclaimer.  Lets see how this all works out.

With that said let me open with this question:

On Friday, March 6 Mercury moved into Pisces, how has that affected you?

My Mercury is in Gemini in my 10th house Taurus. For me, on a very mundane level, I believe it is the cause for me starting this blog site.  Honestly I'm usually not a fan of things like this but now I feel compelled.  I also feel its been causing these very vivid dreams.

What are your thoughts on the topic?  Feel free to share.
